About Grape Seed Extract:
Grape seed extract, Vitis vinifera, is a bioflavonoidrich potent extract, which is used for fighting free radicals and maintaining capillary health. Grape seed extract contains a high content of proanthocyanidins. Proanthocyanidins are found in many foods, but freezing, cooking, and canning deactivate them.
Proanthocyanidins (also known as leucocyanidins and pycnogenols) are a form of polyphenol, which is in turn a form of bioflavonoid. Grape seed proanthocyanidins are reported to be at least 15 to 25 times more powerful than vitamin E in neutralizing the iron and oxygen species free radicals that attack lipids. It is primarily used in Europe as nutritional support for wrinkle prevention and in spas as an antiaging, anti-arthritic adjunct treatment.
